Clementina Moreira is a Uruguayan-Italian lyric mezzo-soprano recognized for her expressive stage presence, refined musicianship, and a voice praised for its beautiful timbre and exemplary legato. Specializing in trouser roles and lyric repertoire, she performs regularly in opera productions and symphonic concerts across South America and continues to expand her presence on international stages.
She has appeared in leading productions at the Teatro Solís and Sodre in Montevideo, where recent engagements include Mercédès in Carmen.
A versatile opera singer with strong dramatic instincts, her repertoire includes prominent mezzo-soprano and trouser roles such as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Sesto in Giulio Cesare, Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette, ​Mercédès in Carmen, Ernestina in L’occasione fa il ladro, Erika in Vanessa, and Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, among others.
Her artistic training and professional development were consolidated over nearly two decades of study and work in the United States — a formative period that shaped her artistic discipline, professional standards, and comprehensive approach to performance. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Belmont University. Her artistry has been recognized in international competitions, including prize placement at the National Association of Teachers of Singing regional auditions.
